The cost of camp:

I would also like to note that our rates for Summer Camp will increase slightly in 2024 to offset the increasing costs of food and other supplies as well as labor rates. Our new rates for 2024 will be:

Early Bird (Registered before April 30, 2024) Adults $175, Youth $375, Second Week Youth $187.50

Regular Rates (Registering after April 30, 2024) Adults $205, Youth $395

Capacity of camp:

We will be starting camp one week earlier than previous years to allow greater programming flexibility in the month of July, the 2024 Scouts BSA Summer Camp schedule will be:

  • Week1: June 2-8
  • Week 2: June 9-15
  • Week 3: June 16-June 22
  • Week 4: June 23-29

During the week of July 7-13, we will be offering two different options for Cub Scouts, a family camp as well as a Webelos camp, details will be posted on the Council web site in the coming weeks about these events. The Webelos camp will be dedicated to preparing the Webelos to join a Scouts BSA troop. The Cub Scout family camp will be an opportunity for younger Scouts to prepare them for longer overnight camping experiences. These camps will be designed to give Scouts, their families, and leaders an opportunity to see what Scouts BSA has to offer.

Accommodations:
Maumee provides beautiful campsites for units to setup their own tents or hammocks to enjoy a wonderful week at camp. All campsites have latrines with county water, picnic tables, fire pans and shelters to help make your summer camp experience a ‘home’ for your week at camp.

Other Safety:

We need to “do our best” to keep a Scout “clean” by utilizing sanitizer in campsites and program areas many times throughout the day, conducting regular health screenings during camp, wearing face coverings, as needed or required by leaders and parents throughout the day, social distancing whenever possible, and maintaining hygiene each day. As the camping season approaches, our team will review many areas of the property and program to determine if alterations need to be made for safety. We also encourage vaccination for all Scouts to be as safe as possible in group settings.

Even with these modifications, we are so excited for camp and look forward to spending time OUTSIDE at beautiful Maumee Scout Reservation.
