2008 Hoosier Trails Council FOS Shoulder Strip

“A Scout is Helpful”

Once again, we are offering our collector FOS Council Shoulder Strip.  The 2008 shoulder strip is number 3 in a 12 part series.

2008 will be the 98th year of the Boy Scouts of America.  This years cost will be $98 or more if requested and paid by June 30, 2008.  The intent is that uniformed Scouts and Scouters wear this patch to show their support of our scouting program.  The intent is also that Scouts and Scouters only ask for the ones they will wear.

Watch for further details in the Hoosier Trail Signs as they are posted or check out our website at www.hoosiertrailsbsa.org.

The national fee for the 2010 100th Anniversary Jamboree has been set at $795.  Local Scouts and Scouters desiring to attend need to understand that additional fees to cover training, equipment, meals to and from, transportation to and from, and local souvenirs, etc. will be added to the National fees.  Leadership and budget will be decided at a later date.

Individuals interested in going need to watch for information covering a web based registration format.  The site is expected to go online in June of 2008.

This will be the first step for all who are interested in attending.
