Leaders must have both Safe Swim Defense and Safety Afloat Training. At least one person must be a certified lifeguard.
Hoosier Trails Council has the following equipment for rent to Scout units:
MAUMEE RESERVATION 2 canoe trailers
12 canoes
paddles & life jackets
Trailer will carry six (6) canoes – size of ball hitch is 1 7/8”
Trailer is equipped with lights as needed.

Repair costs will depend on extent of damage and be charged after repairs are made. Therefore, as you
check in and out be sure you agree on equipment condition. Our only source of income for replacement is
rental and your care will have a bearing on how many can also enjoy canoeing.
